Financial Impact:
The increased salary associated with this request will be absorbed by utilizing existing salary savings. The Department currently has salary savings resulting from vacant positions, which are expected to offset the additional personnel costs. Should additional funding be needed, the Department will incorporate the necessary adjustments during the Adopted Budget process. As a result, no immediate additional General Fund appropriation is anticipated.

The candidate possesses extensive experience in a related field, with approximately 10 years of veterinary clinic experience, and has recently obtained their Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license. Their combination of professional experience, technical expertise, and licensure brings significant value to the Department and supports placement above the entry-level step.
