Financial Impact:
There is no direct financial impact, however the Division of Animal Services will realize indirect savings in staff time and resources through this automation process.
Background Information:
Petszel is a post-adoption support platform that has been successfully implemented by animal shelters and rescues nationwide to improve adopter engagement and enhance adoption processes. The Division of Animal Services currently relies on printed, paper copies of adoption resources, medical records and outcome material. With the integration of the Petszel program, adopters will have continuous, easy access to their pet’s medical history without requiring additional staff time. Additionally, the platform streamlines post-adoption engagement by automating follow-up surveys, tracking adopter experiences, and automating adoption reporting.
