Financial Impact:
This will be a receivable to the Health Services Agency, with funding for FY 27/28 in the amount of $76,365.12, FY 28/29 in the amount of $80,183.38, and FY 29/30 in the amount of $84,192.50. No General Fund dollars will be used for the program.
Background Information:
The CDPH OHP is funded by Proposition 56, the California Healthcare, Research and Prevention Tobacco Act of 2016 for the purpose and goal of oral health education, dental disease prevention, and linkage to treatment of dental disease caused by the use of cigarettes and other tobacco products. This is a non-competitive grant that is being offered statewide based on a specific allocation methodology. With this grant, the local health jurisdictions will be able to initiate activities and community engagement related to oral health in Tehama County in order to improve the oral health of its residents through education, surveillance, prevention, community collaboration, and case management.
