a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorize the Department of Social Services Interim Director or designee to sign the amendment between the County of Tehama and Second Red Bluff LLC (Misc. Agree #2017-203) to extend the lease for our WorkFirst location at 376 S. Main St, Red Bluff, CA, to December 31, 2024, at a rent cost of $1,995 per month, and removing the lease for 25 additional parking spaces

Financial Impact:
The cost of this contract has been anticipated in the 2024/2025 budget in account 5013-53260, Rent/Lease of Buildings. This is a generic cost to all programs within Social Services. Ending this building lease is needed to reduce costs for all programs. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
The Department uses this space to provide job-readiness training and other employment services. These services will be provided virtually beginning January 2025. This site has allowed clients access to computers for online training and employment resources. Clients will be able to access computers available through other agencies like the Libraries and Job Training Center.
