a) AGREEMENT / RESOLUTION - Request adoption of a Resolution approving and authorizing the Chair to sign the Cooperative Fire Protection Services Agreement #2CA07811 for Local Agencies for Schedule “A” and Amador Fire Protection Services with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection in an amount not to exceed $4,953,259, effective 7/1/26 and shall terminate 6/30/27; and to further authorize the Risk Manager to sign Schedule “E”, Self-Insurance Certification of Local Agency of Tort Liability and Local Agency-Owned Vehicles
b) Request authorization for the Chair to sign the Intent to Renew Letter for continued services in FY 27/28

Financial Impact:
Funding for the contract is included in the FY 26/27 budget.
Background Information:
Tehama County has been contracting with the California Department of Forestry for 90+ years. This agreement allows Tehama County to utilize state resources in the Local Responsibility Areas for emergency fire protection, medical and rescue response, basic life support services, dispatch services, fire code inspection, prevention and enforcement, and land use/pre-fire planning services.
