Financial Impact:
Due to new vacancies in FY 25-26, the previously budgeted amount for Salaries & Benefits in Budget Unit 2037 will cover this additional cost.
Background Information:
The applicant for Deputy Probation Officer II position has a total of eight (8) years experience in Probation. The applicant previously worked for Butte and Sutter County Probation Departments and held the position of Deputy Probation Officer II. Applicant has certificates in Deputy Probation Officer Core and PC832 Arrest, Search & Seizure, and PC832 Firearms Familiarization. Applicant has experience supervising probation clients and writing various reports for the court. Applicant is a certified instructor in De-Escalation, Defensive Tactics, Impact Weapons, Axon Taser Conductive Energy Weapons, and a Field Training Officer (FTO). This applicant will make a great addition to the Probation Department team with the knowledge they possess in Adult field services.
The Personnel Office has reviewed the applicant’s qualifications and agrees with placement at Salary Range 33, Step 5, upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements.
