There was one material change to the investment policy this year. We are requesting the board of supervisors grant express permission to purchase the following investments with a duration of up to 10 years.

1.                     Securities Issued by the United States Treasury

2.                     Obligations of the State of California

3.                     Registered treasury notes or bonds of any of the other 49 states

4.                     Obligations of other California government agencies

5.                     Securities Issued by United States Government Agencies and Government-Sponsored Enterprises

If permission is granted, the treasury will be allowed to start purchasing these longer duration investments in 91 days, per Government Code section 53601.
