a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Interim Executive Director to sign the Agreement with AMN Healthcare Locum Tenens, Inc. for the purpose of locating and arranging for locum tenens Physician(s), Psychiatrist(s), Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner(s), Nurse Practitioner(s), or Physician’s Assistant(s) to provide medical services at the placement address for the maximum amount not to exceed of $1,500,000 during any fiscal year, effective 7/1/26 and shall terminate 6/30/28

Financial Impact:
Fees for services provided by the vendor are in the Department's budgets and are outlined in Exhibit A of the contract. Costs are paid for with Mental Health Realignment funds allocated for medically necessary services and with Clinic patient fees and Health Realignment. Should the Department hire a Family Practice Physician or Psychiatrist introduced to the County by AMN Healthcare Locum Tenens, Inc., the hiring fee would be $25,000 per placement.
Background Information:
This is a renewal Agreement with the vendor to locate and arrange for Family Practice Physicians, Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and/or Psychiatrists to provide medical services for the Department during periods of staffing shortages or vacation coverage. This is one of several locum tenens contracts the Department can utilize to provide temporary staffing arrangements for Physicians and mid-level providers.
