a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Interim Executive Director of Health Services Agency and other Department heads to sign the Agreement with Butte County, through its Department of Public Health, for public health laboratory testing services to be utilized by various County Departments, with a maximum compensation not to exceed $20,000, effective 7/1/26 and shall terminate on 6/30/29

Financial Impact:
The Health Services Agency’s costs for this Agreement will be paid for using the health realignment dollars for Public Health. The General Fund will be utilized for the remaining County Departments including the Department of Agriculture, Animal Services, Environmental Health, Sheriff’s Office, and Parks & Recreation. The Departments will be responsible for their own Department’s fees based on the services they each utilize.
Background Information:
This is a renewal Agreement with Butte County Public Health for laboratory testing services that Tehama County Health Services Agency (TCHSA), Department of Agriculture, Animal Services, Environmental Health, Sheriff’s Office, and Parks & Recreation will utilize on an as needed basis.
If this Agreement is not approved, Tehama County departments will lose the capability to test specimens for communicable diseases.
