a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the ex officio Executive Director of the Tehama County Community Action Agency to sign Standard Agreement #25F-6049 with the California Department of Community Services and Development, to receive Community Services Block Grant funds in an amount not to exceed $302,929, effective 1/1/25 through 4/30/26
body
Financial Impact:
The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) for calendar year 2025 is $302,929. Of the CSBG revenue anticipated in the FY 2024/25 adopted budget, approximately $151,465 will be 2025 CSBG revenue. If services and projects completed January-June 2025 are more than $151,465, a budget increase may be needed and would be brought before the Board before the end of June. The remaining balance will be budgeted in FY 2025/26. CSBG revenue is budgeted in 5062-4507200. There is no impact to the County General Fund.
Background Information:
Community Action Agency (CAA) receives Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funding on an annual basis and is required to enter into agreements with the State of California Community Services and Development (CSD) to receive funding. CAA will use these funds to address the needs of low-income individuals and families in Tehama County through the support of CAA staff and administration of programs in the areas of food, housing, education, and family development.
Resolution #2024-094 authorizes the ex officio Executive Director of the Community Action Agency to sign all CSD contracts, agreements, memoranda of understanding and other documents, with any agreements coming back to the Board for approval on a subsequent agenda.
