Background Information:

The Personnel Office, in conjunction with the Social Services Department and the Department of Child Support Services, has been working diligently towards transitioning from an Interagency Merit System (IMS) to an Approved Local Merit System (ALMS) since December 2022. Recently, the Personnel Office was notified by MSS the transition to an ALMS County was conditionally approved. This conditional agreement outlines the reporting requirements, responsibilities, obligations, expectations, and the transition plan ensuring the County understands its role concerning this conditional agreement.

 

Once the transition plan has been concluded, the Personnel Office will receive a final ALMS agreement for signature.
