Financial Impact:
This project will be paid for utilizing grant funds from the Behavioral Health Bridge Housing Program that consists of $2,371,591 in total. A portion of these grant funds are budgeted for the project provided through this agreement. The Budget Unit is 40131. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
On April 16, 2024, Misc. Agreement #2024-087 with Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (the administrative entity acting on behalf of the California Department of Health Care Services) was reviewed and approved by the Board of Supervisors for the purpose of applying for grant funding for the Behavioral Health Bridge Housing (BHBH) Program. This program was put in place to address the immediate and sustainable housing needs of people experiencing homelessness who have serious behavioral health conditions.
This agreement with PATH is for the purpose of implementing certain tasks and duties from the BHBH budget that was awarded to County by providing services outlined in the scope of work of this agreement. PATH, as a local non-profit organization that provides services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, will be using their Behavioral Health Transitional Living Program to assist participants in developing stability, enhancing independent living skills, and securing permanent housing while receiving ongoing behavioral health support.
