a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Interim Executive Director to sign the Agreement with Thomas Milam MD, Inc. dba Iris Telehealth Medical Group, for the purpose of locating and arranging for Telepsychiatry Adult Psychiatrists, Telepsychiatry Child Psychiatrists, Telepsychiatry Nurse Practitioners, Telepsychiatry Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists, Telepsychiatry Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Telepsychiatry Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors to provide locum tenens medical services, with a maximum compensation not to exceed $780,000, effective 7/1/26 and shall terminate 6/30/28

Financial Impact:
Budget unit is 40131 for Mental Health. Services will be paid for with Mental Health Realignment, Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) and Short-Doyle Medi Cal funds allocated for medically necessary services. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
This is a renewal Agreement with Iris Telehealth Medical Group for the purpose of locating and arranging for Telepsychiatry Adult Psychiatrists, Telepsychiatry Child Psychiatrists, Telepsychiatry Nurse Practitioners, Telepsychiatry Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists, Telepsychiatry Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Telepsychiatry Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors to provide medical services for the Department during periods of staffing shortages or vacation coverage. In the past, the Department has utilized the placement services of locum tenens companies due to the shortage of these specialty professionals employed by the County. This is a vital service for meeting client needs in Mental Health.
