Background Information:
On July 22, 2025, the Board of Supervisors received a request regarding rent stabilization measures applicable to mobile home parks within the unincorporated area of Tehama County. Following the Board's consideration of the request, and in response to ongoing community interest regarding mobile home housing affordability and tenant protections, the Mobile Home Park Rent Stabilization Ad Hoc Committee, with assistance from County Counsel, developed a proposed Rent Stabilization Protections Ordinance for consideration by the Board of Supervisors.
At the September 15, 2026, Board of Supervisors meeting, a draft ordinance was presented for review and discussion. Following the Board’s direction, staff incorporated the requested revisions. The revised ordinance is now presented to the Board for consideration.
