Financial Impact:
The estimated annual base salary for this 1.0 FTE at Step D is $56,921.20, $7,758.40 greater than Step A. The Department has adequate funding allocated in the FY 2024/25 adopted budget. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
The candidate’s extensive time spent in the automotive repair field, performing transmission, drivetrain, suspension, brakes, engine repairs, diagnostics, electrical systems repairs, etc. in addition to his 9 ASE certifications as a master automobile technician, are skills above that of an entry level employee, making him an ideal candidate for a position at this step. He was the number one ranked candidate during the interview process. The Department would like the opportunity to employ this highly skilled candidate who we are confident will be a great fit for this Department.
The Personnel Office has reviewed the candidate’s qualifications and is in agreement with placement at Salary Range 26, Step D upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements.
