Financial Impact:
Background Information:
When calculating the tipping fee for FY 2026/27, Waste Connections did not account for the reduction in the JPA fee for FY 2026/27. As such, the current tipping fee will need to be lowered. Additionally, Waste Connections will provide the Board with an update on how the excess fees will be refunded to customers.
Based upon the above information, staff is requesting approval to adjust the tipping fee as outlined below:

Once the Board approves the revised tip fee adjustments, Waste Connections will advertise the fees. The revised tipping fee will become effective on October 1, 2026.
