Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact on the General Fund as funds will be paid out of County DNA fund 529-301900.
Background Information:
The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office utilizes the LiveScan machines for identification purposes. The Jail, to identify the correct individual(s) of suspected crimes and the collection of DNA to send to the DOJ; the Sheriff’s Office for new County applicants, sex offender registrants, Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) permits, and personal business. Without them we could not provide these services to the County of Tehama.
The purpose of the transfer is to pay for one (1) year of maintenance and support on the LiveScan machines located at the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office and the Jail. Agreement #38PA26 is currently in place with Idemia Identity & Security USA LLC and started 4/10/26 and will terminate 4/9/27.
