a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Director of the Tehama County Community Action Agency to sign Agreement 24F-3049 Amendment #1 with the Department of Community Services and Development increasing the total amount available in the budget by $19,000 from $302,929 to $321,929 for the term of 1/1/24 through 4/30/25

 

b) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Director of the Tehama County Community Action Agency to sign Agreement 24F-3049 Amendment #2 with the Department of Community Services and Development increasing the grand total amount available in the contract by an additional $7,000 from $321,929 to $328,929 for the term of 1/124 through 4/30/25

Financial Impact:

The funding for the 2024 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Discretionary grant has been provided in the amount of $19,000 in Amendment #1, bringing the total amount available for Agreement #24F-3049 to $321,929.

 

Thereafter the funding for the 2024 Discretionary grant was increased by an additional $7,000 in Amendment #2 for a total additional budget increase of $26,000 between the two amendments.

 

This was a total increase in the budget by $26,000, which is the combined increase of both Amendments 1 and 2, increases the 2024 CSBG Regular and Discretionary grand total available from the original $302,929 to $328,929.

 

CSBG Revenue is budgeted in account 5062-450720 and may be adjusted during the midyear budget review. There is no impact to the General Fund.

 

Background Information:

Community Action Agency will use these funds exclusively for the Home Safe Program. The Home Safe Program is a housing program that focuses on keeping elderly, low-income members of the community housed in their current homes or providing housing.

 

The original agreement, Miscellaneous Agreement #2024-021, was approved by the Board of Supervisors on January 23, 2024.
