Financial Impact:
There is no impact to the General Fund. The Department of Child Support Services has salary savings sufficient to cover the transfer of funds.
Background Information:
The Department is transferring funds from Salary & Wages to Pay In Lieu/Misc Payouts to cover the vacation payout to an employee who recently separated employment.
Pursuant to Article 26 of the Joint Council MOU: “An employee who leaves County employment for any reason and who has accumulated unused vacation time at the time of termination shall be compensated for such unused vacation at the hourly rate earned by the employee at the time of termination.”
