Financial Impact:

There is no financial impact on the General Fund. The Sheriff’s Office will utilize CALAIM AB133 funds to issue payment to CorrecTek, Inc.

Background Information:

CorrecTek is a nationally recognized provider of correctional Electronic Health Record (EHR) solutions, with extensive experience implementing comprehensive healthcare information systems for correctional facilities. The Agreement (2026-283) between the Sheriff’s Office and CorrecTek, which includes prepayment for implementation and five (5) years of software licensing, hosting, maintenance, and support, was approved by the Board of Supervisors on September 15, 2026, as Agenda Item No. 26-1477.

With the FY 2026-27 budget now approved, the Sheriff’s Office is requesting the transfer of CalAIM AB133 funding to pay CorrecTek’s invoice for the implementation costs and five (5) years of software licensing, hosting, maintenance, and support. Sufficient CalAIM funding is available to fully cover these initial project costs, allowing the County to implement the EHR system without reliance on future General Fund appropriations during the initial five-year term.
