a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Chair and Environmental Health Director to sign the agreement with Alliance Environmental Services, Inc. for the purpose of providing cleanup services to a Park Fire-burned parcel, in an amount not to exceed $359,616 effective 10/6/26 and shall terminate 12/31/26 (Subject to receipt of required insurance documentation)

body

Financial Impact:

Like previous Park Fire debris cleanup efforts, costs for this parcel will be paid from the Emergency/Disaster Fund and fully reimbursed by the State under the California Disaster Assistance Act, with no cost share for the County

Background Information:

The Park Fire Consolidated Debris Cleanup by Cal OES/Cal Recycle was completed in 2025 for all parcels in Tehama County that qualified for the cleanup except two. A parcel on Poison Oak Trail was not able to be included with the other Park Fire cleanups due to its extremely remote location and the cost of bridge construction that would be required to safely remove the debris. Therefore, the property has not yet been properly cleaned up. Tehama County is now working in conjunction with Cal OES and a supervising contractor to get a crew in to do the work needed for this property.

A request for proposals was sent out for competitive bid. Contractor will fulfill all debris cleanup requirements for CalRecycle and Cal OES, as well as Tehama County.
