Financial Impact:
The 2025 agreement reflects a 2.75% increase, resulting from a raise in the minimum wage from $16.50 per hour to $16.90 per hour. This adjustment raises the current monthly cost from $476.64 in 2025 to $489.75 in 2026. It is anticipated that no changes to the current budget will be necessary to accommodate this increase.
Background Information:
The County shall give the recognized employee organization no less than 45 days’ written notice before issuing a request for proposals, request for quotes, or renewing or extending an existing contract, to perform services that are within the scope of work of the job classifications represented by the recognized employee organization. The Joint Council Bargaining Unit has been notified of the requested action and is in agreement.
Peerless Building Maintenance has been providing satisfactory janitorial services to UC Cooperative Extension / Ag Extension for many years. Renewing this Agreement will allow Peerless to continue providing such services.
