body

Financial Impact:

Budget Unit is 40131 for Mental Health. Services will be paid for with Mental Health realignment and/or Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) funds allocated for medically necessary services. There is no impact to the General Fund.

Background Information:

The is a renewal Agreement with the vendor for the purpose of providing long-term care for adults with serious mental illness. Placement is difficult for clients who need specialized residential care services. If this Agreement is not approved, clients who could be serviced by this facility would not be able to be placed there. There are very limited options for client care in facilities with the services this vendor offers. The Health Services Agency would need to continue the search for adequate facilities for clients with specialty needs which would continue disruption in much needed services and delays for mental health clients of Tehama County.
