recommendation
a) Request approval for the Fire Chief to sign the Termination of Miscellaneous Agreement Book #82-1991 letter with the Vina Volunteer Fire Department
body
Financial Impact:
Tehama County Fire Department will no longer perform maintenance on the late 1970s model Ford Water Tender which is owned by the Vina Volunteer Fire Department. The Water Tender has been replaced by a County-owned Water Tender so any required maintenance will be on factory new, County-owned equipment, with an expected cost savings to our Department.
Background Information:
Tehama County Fire Department entered into a lease agreement with the Vina Volunteer Fire Department in 1991 for use of their late 1970’s model Ford Water Tender (WT 816). The Fire Department has recently purchased two new Tactical Water Tenders; one replacing WT 816, updating the fleet with entirely County-Owned equipment. The lease agreement with the Vina Volunteer Fire Department is no longer needed and shall terminate 30 days from August 19, 2025.
