a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Director or their Designee to sign Amendment No.1 to Interagency Agreement 2025-277 with Tehama County Health Services Agency for the purpose of assisting with the elimination of the barriers to employment for CalWORKS participants as specified, thereby increasing the “shall not exceed” amount under this Agreement to $800,040, effective 7/1/25 and shall terminate 6/30/28

Financial Impact:
The cost of this contract is anticipated in Professional and Special Services account 5013-53230 and reimbursed through the CalWORKs Mental Health and Substance Abuse allocations. Each fiscal year, Social Services receives this allocation, and it may be used only towards these services for CalWORKs participants. The contract is increasing compensation from $119,501.00 for July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026; $119,501.00 for July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027; and $119,501.00 for July 1, 2027 to June 30, 2028.To 189,618.00 for July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026; $189,618.00 for July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027; and $189,618.00 for July 1, 2027 to June 30, 2028. It is a State and Federal allocation with no County share. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
This is an Amendment to Agreement 2025-277. CalWORKs clients, for whom this counseling or treatment is applicable, will benefit from Mental Health and Drug/Alcohol services to assist them moving towards employment and self-sufficiency. These CalWORKs clients are referred to Tehama County Health Services Agency where qualified professionals provide these services including case management and treatment.
