Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact on the FY 2025/26 General Fund. The funds are being transferred from the AB443 funds.
Background Information:
The AB443 funds will be used to support additional structural analysis services necessary for the Emergency Communications Infrastructure Project. An initial structural assessment of the existing communications tower located at the Jail, which sustained significant damage in 2022, was completed earlier last year. In consultation with a licensed structural engineer, it was determined that further detailed analysis is required to advance the project and ensure the safety, structural integrity, and long-term viability of the tower.
