Financial Impact:
Rent payments received will decrease Social Service's space costs, which will in turn reduce allocated expenses to all Social Services programs. Payments received will be approximately $5,200 for the term of the agreement. Sublessor’s lease cost is adjusted annually, effective on the 1st of July, based on the California Consumer Price Index.
Background Information:
Empower Tehama wishes to continue to operate a program to provide domestic violence counseling and education services in Corning, CA. The County is able to offer for sublease office space at the Corning Healthcare District during the term of this agreement. This sublease is a renewal for one year, and increases the number of rooms sublet from two to three. The total square feet included in the sublease is 289.45. This sublease is retroactive to 10/1/25 to allow for the use of the third room while the approvals were obtained from the necessary boards and counsel.
