Financial Impact:
CDSS will not charge the County for these services, so there is no cost to this agreement.
Background Information:
The RFA program is intended to improve the way caregivers of children in foster care are approved and prepared to become a foster parent to vulnerable children, whether temporarily or permanently.
This agreement addresses the duties of the County child welfare services and the CDSS Legal Division related to legal consultation and legal representation on appeals and hearings. CDSS has provided these services since 2017. The previous contract was approved by the Board 8/3/21 (Misc Agreement 2021-190).
