Background Information:
The Sheriff requests to add a new classification of Sheriff's Executive Secretary. The position currently assigned to this role is an Administrative Secretary III. Over the past few years, the duties and responsibilities of the position have expanded and become more complex, requiring an increased skill set. The request for the new classification is in recognition of the enhanced responsibilities, increased level of autonomy, and elevated level of importance of the role in supporting the Sheriff's Office.

The proposed Sheriff's Executive Secretary classification is a specialized single-position classification. The incumbent is responsible for performing a wide variety of confidential and complex administrative support activities that require discretion, independent judgment, and initiative.
