a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Chairman to sign the Agreement with Hinderliter, De Llamas and Associates, a California Corporation for the purpose of providing sales tax audit and information services with the Contractor being paid 15% of all new Sales and/or Use tax revenue, effective 7/1/25 and shall terminate June 30, 2030

Financial Impact:
The Contractor is paid a percentage of new Sales and/or User Tax revenue received by the County for eight quarters.
Background Information:
Hinderliter, De Llamas and Associates (HDL) provides sales and use tax audits to identify and correct point-of-sale distribution errors and thereby generates previously unrealized sales and use tax revenue to the County.
The County has been utilizing the company’s services since 2014. From July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2025, the Contractor identified multiple distribution and point-of-sale errors which generated thousands of dollars in sales and use tax revenue for the County.
By not taking this action, we may miss the opportunity to capture tax revenue that is rightfully ours.
