a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Executive Director or their designee to sign Subaward Amendment A25-0006-S008-A01 to Misc. Agree. 2025-323 with Chico State Enterprises, on behalf of the Area 3 Agency on Aging for the provision of the Meals on Wheels program, thereby increasing the maximum compensation amount from $413,835 to $428,687, effective 7/1/25 and shall terminate 6/30/26

body

Financial Impact:

This Amendment provides a net increase of $14,852 in grant funding that will be used for congregate and home delivered meals within FY 25/26. These funds require a 10.53% County match, which is met through the General Fund contribution of $35,000 ongoing, as well as through donations and fundraisers. There will be no additional impact to the General Fund.  A transfer of funds may be submitted later, so that budgeted expenses and revenues may be updated for this Amendment.

Background Information:

This original agreement was approved by the Board on November 18, 2025 Misc 2025-323.  The Area 3 Agency on Aging, a program through the Chico State Enterprises, receives a Federal Pass through Award from California Department of Aging to provide services according to Title III to meet the needs of California's older adult population. Some of this funding is provided to Tehama County Community Action Agency through this subcontract agreement for Tehama County's Meals on Wheels program. Meals on Wheels provides healthy meals each business day to eligible citizens in both a congregate setting and to homebound individuals.
