a) PUBLIC HEARING - Conduct a public hearing to consider the appeal of Use Permit No. 25-07 Verizon Black Butte Lake, and;

 

b) Move to uphold the decision of the Tehama County Planning Commission regarding Use Permit #25-07 Verizon Black Butte subject to the findings and Conditions modified by the Planning Commission on June 4, 2026, as contained in Attachment B

 

OR

 

c) Move to modify the June 4, 2026, Conditions of Approval as amended by the Planning Commission and amend the conditions of approval further as deemed necessary by the Board of Supervisors

 

OR

 

d) Approve the appeal therefore denying Use Permit No. 25-07 Verizon Black Butte Lake, based on findings as specified by the Board of Supervisors

Background Information:

The applicant submitted a Use Permit application (No. 25-07) for a Commercial Communication Facility that was reviewed by various county departments and approved by the Planning Commission on June 4, 2026, with revised conditions. Use Permit applications may be approved or denied by the Planning Commission based on the process and standards provided in Chapter 17.70.060 of the Tehama County Code, which regulates Use Permits. 

 

The project was appealed to the Board of Supervisors by the citizens of Paskenta in a timely manner on June 15, 2026, consistent with Tehama County Code Section 17.70.060.040 Appeals.
