Financial Impact:
The funds for this position are in the FY 2025-26 Budget Unit 40131, and the salary for this position at Range 39, Step B is $35.27/hr. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
Candidate has over 14 years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse conducting assessments, administering medication, monitoring patient health status, assisting with wound care, and maintaining detailed medical records. Candidate has prior experience working in medical and mental health care in jails, and an additional 5 months of experience working in Tehama County as temporary staff. Candidate also has an additional year of experience working in a residential facility providing behavioral health services.
If the requested action is not approved, the County will lose the opportunity to hire a qualified applicant in this position.
The Personnel Office has reviewed the Other than A Step request and is in agreement with Range 39, Step B appointment effective upon completion of all pre-employment requirements.
