body

Financial Impact:

This will be a receivable for the Tehama County Health Services Agency in the total amount of $28,964 funded by the California Department of Public Health Immunization Branch for immunization coordination, education, surveillance, and monitoring over the FY 25/26 period.

Background Information:

On April 25, 2023, the Tehama County Board of Supervisors approved the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Immunization Program Grant Agreement 22-11087, effective 7/1/22 to 6/30/27. We are in year four (4) of the grant and each year, CDPH requires local health jurisdictions (LHDs) receiving grant funds to attest that they understand and will comply with the Federal Requirements of the Immunization Grant.

The purpose of this program is to assist local health departments in preventing and controlling vaccine-preventable diseases, including COVID-19, in the local health jurisdictions. The program allocates monies to counties to establish and expand immunization education, interventions, registry and collaboration with local groups, school districts, preschool and childcare programs.

If this request is not granted, the Health Services Agency will be unable to utilize these funds to continue to provide vaccinations to Tehama County residents.
