Financial Impact:
The funding for the 2025 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Discretionary Grant has been provided in the amount of $26,000 in Amendment No. 1, additionally the amendment also increases the regular grant budget by $1,824, bringing the total amount available for Contract 25F-6049 to $330,753.
CSBG Revenue is budgeted in 5062-450720 and may be adjusted during the mid-year budget review. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
This is an amendment to an existing contract. Community Action Agency (CAA) receives Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funding on an annual basis and is required to enter into agreements with the State of California Community Services and Development (CSD) to receive funding. CAA will use these funds to address the needs of low-income individuals and families in Tehama County through the support of CAA staff and administration of programs in the areas of food, housing, education, and family development.
The original agreement, Misc. Agreement 2025-066, was approved by the Board of Supervisors on April 8, 2025.
