Background Information:
On August 16, 2022, the Board of Supervisors approved the original agreement with Sarah Marikos dba Data Strategy Consulting, LLC. The first amendment was approved on March 14, 2023, and the second amendment was approved on June 27, 2023.
As a result of the Budget Act of 2022, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has allocated additional funds for workforce and infrastructure, and these funds are considered ongoing funds and part of the ongoing baseline state budget. One of the conditions to receive this funding is for the Local Health Jurisdiction (LHJ) to complete a Community Health Assessment (CHA), which is a step-in accreditation. TCHSA does not have an epidemiologist on staff to be able to collect and analyze the data needed for the CHA. Tehama County is utilizing the specialized services of this contractor to provide the expertise needed to complete this requirement.
