Financial Impact:

The funds for this position are budgeted in FY 2025-2026, Budget Unit 40121, through realignment and Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) grant funding.

 

Background Information:

The candidate has a Master’s Degree in public health, with an emphasis in Epidemiology. Additionally, the candidate has direct experience in clinical and community health research and analysis, including working knowledge in utilizing various statistical software programs for health outcomes.

 

Finding qualified and experienced epidemiology candidates who are willing to work in a rural community like Tehama County is very difficult. There has been one (1) failed previous recruitment.

 

The Personnel Office has reviewed the candidate’s qualifications and agrees with placement at Salary Range 44 Step B upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements.
