Financial Impact:
The increased financial impact was reflected in the financial impact section for item #26-0737. This item is a corrective action to revise the number of reclassifications. Additionally, the Clerk/Elections Analyst position is not being added to the Department’s Position Allocation List (PAL) at this time, therefore there is no financial impact.
Background Information:
The Clerk & Recorder is requesting to reclassify one Extra Help Deputy County Clerk I to Extra Help Clerk/Elections Specialist I, effective 6/30/26. The Board approved new classification specifications, PAL changes and reclassifications for this series on 6/30/26. However, afterwards the Department discovered there was an oversight in the number of incumbents in the classification series. One extra help employee was inadvertently missed in the previous item for reclassification purposes. Therefore, the Department requests that all incumbents in the classification are reclassified.
Additionally, in the previous item, the request was to add the newly created Clerk/Elections Analyst to the Master Salary schedule, but not to the Department’s Position Allocation List (PAL) at this time. An Exhibit A resolution amending the Master Salary Schedule was inadvertently not attached to the item. Therefore, the Exhibit is attached to correct this item for retroactive approval effective 6/30/26.
