b) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Chair to sign the Agreement with Day Wireless Systems, for the purpose of installing a replacement communications tower at the Tehama County Jail, in the amount not to exceed $118,372.22, effective upon the approval by the Board and shall terminate upon completion.

Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact on the General Fund. The Sheriff's Office will utilize AB443 Funds.
Background Information:
Tehama County has been utilizing the services of Day Wireless Systems since the closure of Valley Industrial five years ago. Day Wireless Systems currently provides critical maintenance and support for the Sheriff's Office radio communications system, including mobile and vehicle radios, the 9-1-1 system, dispatch operations, and radio repeaters. Their services also include periodic evaluations of the radio system to ensure ongoing efficiency and operational safety.
The County's primary communications tower, located at the County Jail, sustained significant structural damage during a major storm event in 2022. Emergency temporary repairs were completed to maintain operational functionality until a permanent replacement could be implemented. Subsequent evaluations conducted by PACE Engineering and Northwest Tower Engineering determined that full replacement of the tower is necessary.
