Staff recommends the Planning Commission:
A. Public Hearing - Conduct a public hearing to consider GPA #25-01.
B. Move to recommend that the Board of Supervisors find that the project is exempt from CEQA pursuant to CEQA guidelines Section 15061 (b)(3) and adopt the findings relative to CEQA in the staff report and as contained in the Board of Supervisors Resolution (Attachment A).
C. Move to recommend the Board of Supervisors adopt the findings and approve the GPA #25-01 Tehama County Safety Element amendment.

Background Information:
The Safety Element of a General Plan is mandated component designed to reduce risks from various hazards like floods, fires, and earthquakes. The General Plan Amendment #25-01 is a countywide project amending the County’s Safety Element to incorporate the 2025 Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP). The Tehama County Multi-Jurisdiction Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) 2025 serves as update to the local agencies and districts ongoing efforts in hazard mitigation planning.
