Agree. 2025-180), with Chico State Enterprises, for the provision of assisting with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-ED) activities, thereby increasing the compensation not to exceed amount to $152,388.04 for 10/1/25 through 4/30/26, increasing the total maximum compensation not to exceed to $466,149.38; changing the termination date to 4/30/26, and adding the "Summary" pages & "FFY 2026 Tehama County 2026 Budget Report" to the end of Exhibit B, all other provisions of Exhibit B remain unchanged
body

Financial Impact:
This contract is budgeted in the Department's FY 25/26 budget using SNAP-Ed grant funds. The FFY 25/26 compensation is increasing by $47,138.04 due to carry-over funds, thereby increasing the total maximum compensation amount from $419,011.34 to $466,149.38 for the entire three-year contract.

Background Information:
For several years, the Health Services Agency has subcontracted with Chico State Enterprises with funds from the SNAP-Ed grant within the Nutrition Education Obesity Prevention (NEOP) program. This subcontract assists Public Health in completing the grant objectives of supporting a youth-led project to promote healthy foods and active lifestyles through the creation of a nutrition awareness program for youth in Tehama County. SNAP-ED activities include, but are not limited to, indirect and direct education to K-12 youth, collaboration with community partners, outreach events, and school wellness policy.

This amendment to increase the compensation is necessary due to unfilled staff vacancies and is essential to completing the scope of work. If approval is not granted, the Public Health Division may not be able to meet the grant objectives for this year....
