Financial Impact:

Appropriate funding is in the agency’s budget to cover this expenditure.  The bi-weekly salary for the position Range 39 Step A is $2,687.20 ($33.59 hourly).  The increased cost from A to B is approximately $3,494.40 in annual salary.  The Department has sufficient funds budgeted for this position.  There is no impact to the General Fund.

 

Background Information:

The Department of Social Services requests placement at Other Than A Step, Range 39, Step B, for a Supervising Staff Services Analyst.  Our candidate exceeds the minimum qualifications of this position and brings over 2 years of prior experience as a Staff Services Analyst and over 1 year as a Supervising Staff Services Analyst.  The candidate brings valuable experience in managing departmental finances, including expense tracking, invoicing, financial reporting, and budgeting.
