Requested Action(s)

recommendation

a) Consider adoption of a finding that the Morgue HVAC Upgrade Project is categorically exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act, (CEQA) (Class 1 Categorical Exemption) and direct the Chief Administrator to file the Notice of Exemption

 

b) Request approval of the plans and specifications for the Morgue HVAC Upgrade Project

 

c) Request authorization for Administration to advertise for bids on the project, with the bid opening to be held at 3:00 p.m. on July 9, 2026, in the Administrative Office, 727 Oak Street, Room #202, Red Bluff, California

Financial Impact:

The anticipated costs for this project are included in the Accumulated Capital Outlay budget, 1081-57515.

 

Background Information:

This project is to upgrade the morgue HVAC system at the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office. This project will provide new ventilation system for the morgue at the Sheriff’s Office that includes a 100% outdoor air system for makeup air. An existing exhaust system will remain in operation and be rebalanced to achieve pressure relationships. It will also include new room pressure monitoring controls.
