a) AGREEMENT- Request approval and authorization for the Chair and Public Works Director to sign the Agreement with the City of Tehama for the purpose of performing on-call services for minor road repair and maintenance within the City boundaries, with each separate road repair or maintenance job performed not exceeding an aggregate cost of $45,000, effective 10/7/26 and shall terminate 10/6/31

Financial Impact:
Revenue will vary from year to year depending upon the need for assistance and the number of projects requested. Revenue collected from the City of Tehama will positively affect the Tehama County Public Works Road Fund.
Background Information:
The City of Tehama has historically contracted with the County of Tehama Public Works Department for assistance in minor road repair and maintenance such as pothole patching. This long-term relationship has been established for many years for the purpose of road maintenance due to staff limitations in the City of Tehama. The county shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to complete the minor road repair or maintenance to the city on an on-call basis, and the city shall reimburse the County for all costs incurred by the county in performing the road repair or maintenance. Keeping this service contract in place simplifies and enhances operational efficiency reducing complexity.
