Financial Impact:
The increased financial impact was reflected in the financial impact section for item #26-1075. This item is a corrective action to revise the effective dates from 6/30/26 to 1/1/25 per SB 525.

Background Information:
On June 30, 2026, The Health Services Agency requested approval of a new classification series of Community Health Worker I/II and Peer Support Specialist. Additionally, the Department requested to make revisions to its Position Allocation List (PAL) and reclassify seven (7.00 FTE) current incumbents into these new classifications. The Board approved the new classification specifications, PAL changes and reclassifications for this series on June 30, 2026 with pay retroactive to January 1, 2025, per SB 525.
