a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Agricultural Commissioner to sign Cooperative Agreement No. 25-0224-000-SA with the California Department of Food and Agriculture for the provision of costs incurred relative to enforcement activities of the California Organic Foods and Farming Act in an amount not to exceed $5,640, effective 7/1/25 through 6/30/26

Financial Impact:

The funds to be received have been identified as revenue in the department's FY 25/26 budget.

 

Background Information:

The department has historically entered into agreements with the California Department of Food and Agriculture to perform these services.  Without an approved agreement, the department will not be eligible to receive payments for performing work relative to enforcement activities of the California Organic Foods Act Inspections.
