a) Request approval and authorization for the District Attorney to apply for the 2025 Human Trafficking Advocacy Grant through the California Emergency Management Agency for funding in the amount of $147,000

 

b) AGREEMENT- Request approval and authorization for the District Attorney to sign the Grant Award Agreement for the Human Trafficking Advocacy Grant and all related documents with the California Emergency Management Agency in the amount of $147,000

Financial Impact:

This grant is 100% funded by CalOES, there is no fiscal impact on the county General Fund.

 

Background Information:

This is our second year with the Human Trafficking Advocacy Grant. Through this grant we provide victim services to human trafficking victims and those most likely to be human trafficking victims.  We also provide community outreach and education.  Additionally, we are involved in multiple MDT’s with other community partners regarding Human Trafficking.
