body
Financial Impact:
Funding for this program is anticipated in the FY 25/26 budget, account 5013-53230, Professional and Special Services. These activities are funded with federal and state CalWORKs Home Visiting Program (HVP) funding. Each fiscal year, Social Services receives this allocation, and the funds may only be used towards these services for CalWORKs participants. There is no impact to the County General Fund.
Background Information:
This is a contract renewal. The CalWORKs Home Visiting Program (HVP) uses the Healthy Families America evidence-based home visiting model to support positive healthy development and well-being outcomes for pregnant and parenting women, families, and infants born into poverty. Tehama County Health Services Agency will provide screening, assessments, and home visiting services to voluntary CalWORKs Assistance participants who are pregnant, first-time parents, or who care take for a relative less than 24 months of age.
