Background Information:
At the Board of Supervisor’s regular meeting held on March 19, 2024, the Board asked for an informational presentation regarding the permissibility of mobile home rent control/rent stabilization. On October 1, 2024, the Interim Planning Director requested clarification and direction regarding the possible rent control requirements. The Board of Supervisors requested that surveys be sent out to both park owners and residents. At the Board of Supervisor’s regular meeting held on August 26, 2025 the Rent Control Ordinance Ad-hoc Committee was created consisting of two Supervisors and the Director of Planning to address concerns that were prompted by the surveys. Currently there is no rent control/rent stabilization ordinance.
