Background Information:
Tehama County policy allows for closure on the day before the Christmas holiday if all employees unanimously agree through an anonymous ballot. As Christmas Day will be observed on Friday, December 25, that day would be Thursday, December 24. Consistent with Tehama County Departments, Agency staff were confidentially polled. If approved, the office would close on December 24, but the Landfill would remain open.
Per the Landfill and MRF Operations Agreement with Waste Connections, the Tehama County/Red Bluff Landfill will be closed on December 25 and January 1.
